So with the help of many wonderful friends (and Abe to paint and hang stuff up), I think the girls' room turned out adorable!! A couple of months ago a few of my friends went fabric shopping with me to help me pick out material for the girls' bedskirts. My friend Rebecca was kind enough to sew the bedskirts for me (since I don't sew) and my friend Jessica got the sheets for me with her Pottery Barn discount.
Corynn had the idea to use open back frames to make the bow boards, so luckily I rescued a few before we sold them at our own garage sale! Abe spray painted them for me, and then I stapled ribbon down the backs of them.
I am still trying to decide what to put on the shelf.
My cousin Meghan does vinyl and was kind enough to print out the cute lettering for the girls' sign. After they are born I want to take pictures of them with flowers on their heads and put them in the frames underneath.
I don't usually consider myself artsy, but with a little help from the cricut I was able to make the flower paintings that I hung on the wall. I used the cricut to cut out the flower shapes, then I traced them onto canvas and then painted them. I also stitched around the edges of the red one and hot glued buttons onto the blue ones. I was really happy with how they turned out.
Thank you to everyone for your super cute ideas and helping me figure out what to do for their room!
