You gotta love dollar day at the state fair. We actually went a few weeks ago on the day that the fair started because it was only $1 admission!! (plus $12 for parking, of course..... they always get you on that). We had a really fun time.

There were TONS of animals to look at, pet, and feed. Hudson loves animals, so he was practically in heaven.

He cracks me up, though, because when he actually gets close to them he's not quite sure what to do. At first he looked like he might freak out when Abe held him up to some of the animals, but he seemed to warm up soon and was sticking his hands through the bars trying to touch them.

I just thought this was too cute. These baby goats were so young, and the black one kept trying to eat the brown one's ear.

We got REALLY close to some of the animals. I actually almost walked right into this camel because I wasn't looking. He definately wasn't shy.

We even got to watch the Banana Derby. Monkeys "raced" on the backs of the dogs (who pretty much just walked around the track). It was pretty funny to watch, though.

Hudson even got to give a quarter to one of the monkeys.

They also had a fun gym/mat area for the kids to play on. I was really surprised at how many things there are for little kids to do at the fair. We will definately be going back in years to come (most likely on dollar day!).

And we couldn't leave without trying something fried. We went for the fried Snickers.... pretty yummy!!!

I love the fair and I am sure that I will love it even more when I get to take my own kids! It looks like you guys had a really fun family outing!
How fun. Benson doesn't know what to do around animals either.
Hudson is so cute. I love his happy face. I love the shirt, too.
