Backyard adventures

Although our yard is still just dirt, we can finally enjoy being out there! The weather is cooling off, I got myself a covered swing, and Abe found this at a garage sale!!!

Here's Hudson, Tate, and Zorro enjoying a nice morning outside. Hudson loves to go down the slide- he actually calls it a "wee." (because that's what we say when he goes down it).

The only downside to playing outside so much is that I have to pick up the dog poop 2 or 3 times a day. If I don't, or if I miss some, Hudson promptly tells me by picking it up and saying "eww" or "poo poo." Why do boys have to be interested in gross stuff?? I tell him not to touch it and that I will go and get a bag to put it in. So now whenever we are going to go outside he tells me "Mama- poo poo... bag." At least he reminds me! :)

This is Hudson's favorite way to go in and out of the house as he pleases..... I wonder how much longer he will fit?!?

One day I was trying to clean up the house before some people came over and Hudson was playing, going in and out through the doggie door. He comes over to me and says "mama... mess." I was curious so I went to where he said the mess was (by the doggie door), but I didn't see anything. So I continued picking things up. After he came and told me "mess...mess" a few more times, I decided I should go check again. I went back over to the doggie door and found a nice pile of sand on the floor!! He was bringing in handfuls of sand through the doggie door. I guess it's my own fault, though, right?? He kept telling me "mess" but I just didn't listen! :)
