Last week we went to visit Abe's parents in Oregon. Thanks to our good friend Britton, we were able to get cheap plane tickets, so it made the trip affordable. We had a great time doing so many different things. I didn't realize I took so many pictures, but when we got home there were over 200!! SO, I had to sift through them all and pick out the best ones. I still ended up with quite a few that I wanted to post, so I decided that I will do a couple of small posts rather than one gigantic post. If I figure out how to do it, I might even post a few short video clips. But for today, here are some things we enjoyed...

If you can see the tiny pink/brown thing in the middle of all the green- that is Abe's parents' house. They live in Tillamook, Oregon (yes, the place where the cheese comes from). It was so nice to be up in the hills and to see all the green. Everywhere you drive you see cows. All week long Hudson would look out the window and say "mmmmmm" because he knew there were always cows out there.

We went hiking by the Trask River one day. It was so pretty, and the weather was cool. As you can see we are wearing jackets... for those of you who were in Arizona suffering in the heat- we didn't miss it one bit! :) (well.... I kind of did towards the end of the week, but Abe never did)
Hudson wasn't too sure about the backpack thing, but as long as we kept moving, he was happy.
Once we got down to the river, Hudson enjoyed throwing rocks into the water. He wanted to walk right in, so I had to stay right by him.
This is Abe's parents' dog, Bonnie.... or as Hudson calls her "Bobbie." She was pretty much Hudson's substitute best friend for the week since Zorro wasn't around. He loves dogs SO much, it is crazy. He likes to climb on them and lay down with them and throw toys for them. Luckily, Bonnie was pretty tolerant for the most part, and they got along pretty well.
This is a humming bird feeder on the porch at their house. This picture isn't zoomed in or anything, this is literally how close they would let you get to them. They had two feeders and you could stand in between them and let them buzz right by your head. Hudson loved to watch the birds. He learned the sign for "bird" and woke up one morning telling me that he wanted to see the birds. Too cute!
Well.... there will be more coming tomorrow or in the next few days..... so stay tuned :)

I'm so jealous! Looks like it's beautiful there. I'd kill for a vacation. We do need to get together very soon.

Aww, I am happy to see pictures! Welcome home, too.
Those are really neat pictures! What a fun place to live all tucked back in the trees. I like the hummingbird picture.
that gets me so excited about our trip! It is sooooo green! I'm glad you guys had so much fun; to bad we couldn't have all gone at the same time.

Hudson is such a cute little boy, I love that Zorro is his best friend, I seriously pray that our kids likes dogs that much too... Hudson will be a good influence on our kid :)
