For our our last day in New Orleans, we decided to go on a swamp tour. Ryan, Lauren, and Lawson came with us, too. We went on this semi-scary bus ride out to the swamp- we drove on a really bumpy bridge over a lake for like 10 miles (prayed it wouldn't collapse)... the driver almost pulled out in front of someone.... and I guess it didn't help that we sat in the way back, so my butt definately came off the seat more than once! We had a great time- it was a lot like you see in the movies.... kinda creepy, though, going through some of the swamp area where you don't even really see any water- just the green stuff on top- who knows what's under there! :)

They said the real season to see alligators isn't for another couple of months when it gets warmer, but we still got to see this one out in the swamp!

The tour guide even brough this baby alligator on the boat with us and we got to pass it around so everyone could hold it.

Even Lawson got to touch the alligator!!
Overall, we had a great time in New Orleans. I don't know that I ever really need to go back there, but it is a cool place to say that I have been.

The End!

Very fun posts...however I am a BIT disturbed by the whole Lizards on the ears and the last picture (I cant even say it). I hate seafood so I would NOT have been a very good guest at that wedding. However what a neat experience and the wedding was as beautiful as you described. Totally jealous you and Abe got a vacation ALONE. Maybe one day Kameron and I will be able to do that again!
How fun! I bet it was nice to get away for a little (even if it wasn't your dream destination). That last picture of Abe was hilarious! Can't wait to see you tomorrowo!
Sounds like you had a fun getaway! I've had mixed feelings about New Orleans myself so I understand. I bet it was weird not having Hudson with you - we will leave Ashlyn for the first time next weekend to go have fun in Vegas with some friends. wish us luck! Your pictures are awesome!
What a fun trip. I would love to go and see that part of americana. I think the wedding was beautiful.
Wow! Looks like you all had a blast! I am so glad that Ryan and Lauren finally made it...! Those Graves boys are so funny! Alex and I went to New Orleans (when I was about 7 months preg with Mason!) and we also loved the begnets! So delicious.
I can't believe you held the baby alligator. He actually looks cute!
