The 'Happiest Place on Earth'!
We decided to start out the day in Fantasy Land. We went on Peter Pan first, which Hudson seemed to enjoy. Then we headed over to Mr. Toad's wild ride. Grandma and I rode together first so that I would be able to hop out when the ride was done and take a picture of Abe and Hudson together. This is what I captured...
Not exactly happy... I guess when the bad guy appeard Hudson burst into tears and was totally bawling! I felt so bad, but it was one of those funny/sad things. After that Hudson always asked if the ride had a bad guy in it because he didn't want to go if it did. Luckily, it didn't totally scar him and we were able to go on a lot more rides.
We wanted to take a family photo on the Toady car because we have one from last time we went. Hudson wanted nothing to do with it after the ride, but finally decided he wanted to take on at the end of the day.
Some more adventures- Hudson trying to pull the sword, Autopia, the Merry-Go-Round, Dumbo, and the Matterhorn. Hudson liked all of them, except he wasn't a huge fan of the matterhorn (even though it's one if my personal favs)
Buzz Lightyear!!
We had to do some convincing for Hudson to go on this one even though he loves Buzz because it had a bad guy in it- Zurg. He ended up really liking it (of course).
Jungle Cruise with Grandma Kern
We got to meet some characters! Hudson was definately wanted to meet Mickey Mouse, so we went over to his house to say hi. After that he was dead set on wanting to meet Minnie Mouse, too, so we headed over to her house. We were also lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Pluto and took some pictures with Goofy- who thought it was really funny to play with the tail on Hudson's monkey backpack.
Definately one of Hudson's favorites (and Abe's)- the teacups!! I think they rode them like 4 or 5 times.
The other one of Hudson's favorites- "the one with the spitting frogs" aka Gadget's Go Coaseter. I think they rode this one at least 4 times, too.
One of the highlights was definately the parade. For some reason Hudson turned into a wild man right before the parade and was dancing all over the place and being silly. When the parade stopped in front of us, Winnie the Pooh and Tigger got off of the float. They both danced with Hudson and gave him a big hug. He was SOOO excited. I love the expression on his face in the picture with Tigger on the left- it totally says it all.
We had a great day at Disneyland and can't wait to go back again some day!!
