We're seeing double!

6 weeks

We found out in February that we're having twins!?!?!  When we first had the ultrasound the tech was like, "looks like there's just one in there..."  But after she measured the baby for a minute she started looking around and was like, "oh, there's another one."  Another one?  Another what?  lol... we didn't know what to think at first, but we were both very excited/nervous/etc.  We were both really surprised since twins don't run on either side of our family.The babies were measuring a little smaller than where we thought I was, so they sent us for a repeat ultrasound after a week and they had grown great and their heartbeats were strong! 

At 18 weeks we found out we are having 2 girls!  Hudson really wanted 2 brothers, but said that one brother and one sister would be ok.  I told him that we don't really get to decide.  I wasn't sure how he'd take the news.  Luckily, he was still happy, but a little confused why he wasn't getting brothers.  He kept asking about getting brothers. I think maybe he thought it would change, but once I explained that they could see inside mommy's tummy and the babies didn't have a (you know what), he finally seemed to get it and stopped asking about getting brothers.

The tech tried really hard to get a good face pic of Baby A, but she rolled over decided she didn't want her picture taken I guess.

The progress of this pregnancy so far...

Sometimes I feel as though I get bigger by the day... but it is fun to see that these girls are growing.

Let's compare to when I was pregnant with Hudson...

hmmm.... a little different I think :) 

It will be interesting to see just how much bigger I get with this pregnancy. 

Some things I want to remember....

I definately felt sick for most of the first trimester, but luckily I learned how to eat better and was able to manage it for the most part.  Nothing would sound good, so I would try really hard to think of something to eat, and for some reason it was always one thing from a fast food place.  I was a little afraid what would happen if that kept up, but luckily I don't crave that so much anymore.

I feel like I started to show around 11 weeks and had to bust out the maternity pants somewhere around 12 or 13 weeks.... definately a lot sooner than I did when I was pregnant with Hudson.

Around 14 weeks I started to feel them move a little here and there.  It has been so fun to feel them move more and get bigger over the past few weeks.  I am 21 weeks now, and they are moving a lot more and definately pack a more powerful punch- I can even see my stomach move sometimes.  It is so fun and crazy to think that there are two of them in there!!
