Here are some cute/random things Hudson has said or done over the past couple of months that have made us laugh:
-he threw a big couch pillow on the ground and said, "I'm bigger an Percules"
(he really means Hercules... but for some reason, no matter how much Abe tries to teach him to say H-H-Hercules it always comes out H-H-Percules)
-"I tooted out of my butt. It was a big butt...a big toot."
-Hudson went poop on the potty and then yells, "Mom! I made a ssssss!" He was so proud of his s-shaped poop.
-Whenever I give Hudson something special or give him an extra snack I tell him that he's lucky. He started saying to me "tell me I'm lucky mom" whenever he wanted something.
-Hudson kept coming into our bed super early (like 4 am), so I told him that if he comes to sleep in my bed I will be grouchy... He says to me "I sleep in your bed I will be a grinch?"
-Hudson was swinging Abe's belt around and I told him to be careful. He looks at me and says, "this is a weapon......what is a weapon?" lol... I guess all those times I said "that's not a weapon" he didn't really know what I meant
-Calls his Nerf gun a 'narf gun'
-"When I'm done like in a hour"
-"Wanna play with my cool stuff I just got?"
-"I poop and I get lots of candies. There's nothin better than that. That's what Mater says"
-Hudson hasn't really been the best eater. I try to get him to try things- sometimes successfully, but most times unsuccessfully. We were having steamed broccoli for dinner one day, so I put some on his plate expecting him to throw it off. Much to my surprise he ate it and said "Thank you for my broccoli" ?!?! I was shocked and NEVER thought I would hear those words from my child.
He has been broadening his horizons lately and has discovered he likes hamburgers, fried zucchini, and cottage cheese.
-He hiccuped and then said, "I diarrhea-ed in my froat"
-When he was laying down for naptime one day I heard him singing "I love my mama, I love my daddy" -moments like those when you remember they can be sweet :)
-We went to a baptism- Hudson hadn't ever been to one before. He kept asking when the girl would get baptized. When I finally told him they were ready to do it he says to me, "Don't put your feet down or they might get wet." I think he was expecting the whole room to be flooded or something, lol. The baptism also sparked a whole conversation on the way home about Jesus and Heaven... some questions I realized I was not prepared to try and explain to a 3-year-old. One cute question he asked me was, "Can I bring my ball to heaven?"
-new favorite phrase, "so, how we do it?"
-playing with Zorro, "Here's the deal, Zorro"
-I told Hudson we needed to have a ticket to get in or they'll kick us out, and he says, "They're going to kick me?"
Hudson amazes us every day and makes us laugh with all the things he says. He is just getting so big and learning new phrases every day. I love that he is growing up, but it is definately crazy how fast it goes! We love you Hudson!
