So we turned Hudson's crib into a toddler bed a few days ago. So far bed time has been okay, it's just nap time that he's not so thrilled about. I thought he would like the idea of being able to play for a while before going to sleep, but he has been a stinker. Yesterday, though, he finally was okay with me leaving after laying him down. I heard him playing, but pretty soon I hear "Mommy, I poopy!" I thought.... is he really? or is he just saying that.... then I figured I had better go check unless I wanted poop smeared everywhere! I walk in and he was naked- with a poopy diaper on the floor! I was so glad I came in when I did. Luckily there was only one spot on the carpet (probably where he sat down to take it off), and then there was some on his leg and bum (obviously). We got him cleaned up and put back to bed.
Then I can hear him playing again. I hear him opening and closing his closet doors, etc. Then I hear him banging something. I am trying to think of what it could be and if I should be worried. Then I realized it sounded like the plastic diaper holder. Abe peeked in to see what he was doing, and this is what he saw:
Hudson had pulled out all of the diapers from the holder, taken the powder and dumped it ALL out (and it was one of those big bottles) and put some on his legs, too. Then he pulled out each wipe individually and put it into the diaper holder. I couldn't help but laugh! I know it probably wasn't the smartest thing because now Hudson thinks it was funny- but it was! It was totally my fault because I shouldn't have left it in there. Now I'll just have to remember to take that stuff out of his room before nap time. Needless to say, Hudson never actually fell asleep for "nap time" yesterday. Hopefully we'll have better luck next time!

Little stinker! Well, I am glad you posted this, because now when Jake is old enough for a toddler bed, I will have this story to reference as to what needs to be removed from the room. Although, no matter what I do, he is sure to find something to get into!
That is hilarious. Remember when Brecken did that. He was still in a crib and he could just reach the powder. Hopefully nap time will go better.
Haha Meagan - that is Hilarious! I am so sorry for you to have to clean it all up, but he is such a cute boy and it is so funny that you can't help but laugh :)
that is such a hard transition
OMG! I am thinking about moving Cooper into a bed and I am not too sure about it...That is so funny! I know I will have stories like this to tell very soon. What a cutie though! It's hard to get mad at these cute curious little boys...
