Summer fun

These are actually just a few random pictures that I have been meaning to post (all of them are before he gashed his head, so you won't see his little battlewound- although it is healing quite nicely). It is so hot here in the summertime that we have been having a hard time thinking of fun things to do. Here are a few of the things we have come up with......

Eat popsicles outside in just a diaper......

Then wash off in the hose.....

Invite friends over for playdates....

Blow bubbles and try to pop them....

Eat "ghetto popsicles"... as Abe calls them.

(Hudson really likes ice but he thinks it is too cold to hold in his hand, so we wrap it in a paper towel)

So these are just a few of the things we have been doing. We also like to go swimming and to the splash park, but with Hudson's scar still healing the doctor says we should keep him out of the sun as much as possible (it will help it not scar so bad).

So with that in mind..... what do you do in the summertime to beat the heat and still have fun???

Eating a popsicle outside in just a diaper sound like too much fun. Plus, when he is all done, you can wipe him off and send him back inside! Your pictures are, as always, too cute!

I love diaper pictures, they are the cutest! Oh and- we love to go to Ikea, especially in the winter when we can't play outside. Not only can I feed my kids lunch, but there are also plenty of toys to play on. We always top it off with an ice cream cone!

How cute are these pictures, I am going to steal the one with my little dude in it. Looking at it I thought, "Wow they both sat in the car for a picture without hitting, poking, or knocking eachother over!" haha. Very cute, and I am looking forward to getting out of the house on thursday! =)

It was so good to see you. Hudson is so fun. That is a great idea to give them popsicles outside in only diapers. When my mother-in-law floods her lawn Benson loves to play in the water. It's about knee high on him.

Ohh, Ghetto popsicles look awesome. No sugar and nearly as messy! I might have to try that one. Porter loves ice too! So we all need to get together again. Britton and I sitll do have our coupon we got in the mail for a meal with the Graves ;)

Cooper and I LOVE to dance! We got this great kids CD by the barenaked ladies (i'm sure you've heard of them) and Cooper goes crazy when it comes on!

wow the other kid in the first picture totally looks like he could be your kid too! Hudson looks like he's having so much fun, you're such a good mom! And you can never go wrong with a cheap slip-n-slide in the backyard...even as an adult :)
