When we went to California for Melissa's wedding we were able to go to the beach a couple times. Her wedding wasn't until the evening, so we went that morning. And then they had a really fun family BBQ on the beach the day after the wedding. These pictures are a mix from both days.
Hudson LOVED the beach, but wasn't too sure about getting in the water- it was pretty cold. Hudson, of course, had to chase the birds around for a bit. We also had fun running out toward the water and then racing back as the waves came in. Hudson's look of slight terror/thrill was too funny....
We enjoyed finding many treasures on the beach.
We also tried our hand at making sand castles. Ethan and I worked for a long time on our sand castle (even though it looks quite pathetic). We dug out a mote and everything. Then when the tide came in we tried to save it... I got tired after a bit, but Ethan kept working until the waves finally won.
Ethan and Rob also had fun burying Drew in the sand. Drew thought it was funny....for a little bit.
We had lots of fun with family and being crazy with cousins!
Drew and Hudson enjoyed almost being washed away by the waves. Hudson also had this little football stance that he did while he was waiting for the waves to come in.
Abe and Hudson also had a great time on the boogie board!! Hudson was a little nervous going out to sea, but he loved it!
We had SO much fun at the beach (I am missing it and wishing we could go back right now). I love, love, love the beach. Hopefully it won't be too long before we can go back again.
