Easter with Papa Kurt and Grandma Mary

On Friday before Easter we all got together at my dad's house for some family time and fun Easter activities. Mary had lots of fun activities planned for the kids- we all had a great time.

Hudson decorated Easter eggs for the first time! He liked to color on them first, and then watch them while they sat in the dye.

I'd never done this before, but Mary had the fun idea of doing egg races down the driveway with some of the eggs we decorated. Each kid got to pick two of their eggs. I don't think there was an actual winner. Hudson somehow managed to totally break both his eggs. The first one he was chasing down the driveway and accidentally stepped on it, and I think he threw the next one so hard that the yolk just popped right out!
A little ant decided this was the perfect opportunity for him to get some lunch :)

And of course- the egg hunt! Hudson was very excited (I caught a little action photo of him running to find the eggs). I don't even know how many they all ended up with in the end, but it was A LOT- which also meant A LOT of candy, something Hudson was very excited about. He is pretty much my little candy monster.

We admired my dad's new pool that is in the process of being built. One of the pictures above is of the grandkids sitting on one of the loveseats. We are very excited to have a fun new place to play this summer!!
We also played a little baseball. Uncle Tom was nice enough to help everyone bat. I thought it was so cute because in Hudson's picture his tongue is sticking out a little- concentrating so hard! And as far as we can tell Hudson is a lefty.... we'll see if this stays, but so far he prefers to do pretty much everything left handed.
